Greenbriar Training & Publications: Home Study

Greenbriar offers Home Study Courses accredited for certification of alcohol and drug counselors. These courses provide the information, and the CEUs, you will need as a certified addictions counselor.

How does it work? We send you a workbook or book that shows you how to help someone coping with mental illness and substance abuse, or either illness alone. You complete a test on the book or workbook you just read. You send the test and an evaluation back to us in an envelope we provide. If you get 75% of the test items right, we send you a certificate and notify whomever provides addiction counselor certification in your state. If you get less than 75% correct, we review the material with you and help you retake the test.

So why Greenbriar trainings? We use simple language, trying to be as “jargon lite” as possible. We try to put a little humor into our training books and workbooks.
